These terms govern your use of openmik. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Your content

You keep ownership of anything you upload or record on openmik - video links, audio recordings, or anything else. By submitting content, you confirm that it's your own performance (or you otherwise have the right to upload it), and you grant openmik a license to host, stream, and display it back to you and to other users through the app's normal features (voting, leaderboards, profiles, and similar).

Don't upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, that you don't have the rights to, or that violates any law.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the app.

Conduct

Be respectful. Don't harass other users, post abusive comments, or attempt to manipulate ratings/voting through fake accounts or coordinated activity.

Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content on openmik infringes your copyright, send us a notice that includes:

• Your signature (physical or electronic) as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and enough detail for us to locate it (a link/URL is enough)
• Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you're the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

We'll remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice, and notify the user who posted it. If they believe it was removed in error, they can send a counter-notice with similar required information; if we don't hear back from you with a lawsuit within the required timeframe, we may restore the content. Accounts with repeated copyright complaints against them may be suspended or terminated.

No warranty

openmik is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use openmik after a change means you accept the update.
